Aquamarine calculates that a full-scale Oyster, with two pumping cylinders, will deliver far in excess of the modelled output of 350kW.
Testing kicked off at the New and Renewable Energy Centre, near Newcastle, northeast England, in March and will continue until the end of April, to allow Aquamarine to fine tune the system settings, testing different components for performance and fatigue, while building up operational experience.
