“When it comes to growth investments, it is fair to say that wind will be the biggest business area,” Gunnar Groebler, head of Vattenfall’s newly created wind division, tells Recharge in one of his first interviews in his new post.
Despite producing only 3% of its electricity from non-hydro renewables, Vattenfall is already one of Europe’s leading players in offshore wind, owning or part-owning almost 1GW of commissioned projects (with another 288MW soon to be added at DanTysk).
