Yingli agrees to $7.5m settlement with Solyndra

Solyndra, a CIGS thin-film PV cell producer that filed for bankruptcy in 2011, has agreed to drop its claims in the US district court of northern California.

However, Baoding-based Yingli and its affiliates have agreed to make a single payment of $10m to Solyndra if the group’s sales of PV modules to the US market surpass 800MW in any calendar year through 2018.
