The rise of the yieldco has been a “powerful trend” for the renewable energy industry, and it continues to gain momentum, says Jonathan Plowe of Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Over the last 18 months, yieldcos raised more than $8bn raised on public equity markets, and several billion more in debt, Plowe says.“And that’s probably going to triple in the next couple of years.”
