Western Energy plans US 750MW gas/PV hybrid

The Clean Path project will integrate a 680MW combined-cycle gas plant with a 70MW PV array. It will be among the first such hybrid projects – and the largest – in the United States.

The project's schedule, with completion slated for mid-2019, implies that Western Energy does not believe it will need the 30% US investment tax credit to make a profit.
