Welspun said the plant will require a 7bn rupee ($113m) investment.
The developer said: “We want to extend our green footprint in Andhra Pradesh by setting up mega-solar capacity.”
No timesacale was given for the project.
Welspun Renewables, part of Indian conglomerate Welspun Group, has installed 366MW of solar and wind capacity, with another 978MW under construction.
Welspun aims to develop 1.75GW of renewables in the next three years.
