Signing the Governors’ Accord for a New Energy Future were the chief executives of California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Iowa, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and Washington.
They represent 127 million people versus a US population of about 320 million in all 50 states.
“American prosperity has always depended on embracing new ideas and technologies,” the two-page document says.
