The five-member panel stuck to the rates put forward by its head, Kazuhiro Ueta, earlier this week, and industry sources say the government is likely to adopt the recommendations as they stand.
The panel says the new FIT should pay out ¥42 ($0.52) per kWh for PV systems smaller than 10kW, and ¥40/kWh for those larger than 10kW.
Wind farms larger than 20kW would receive ¥23.10/kWh,
