Trina – the world’s largest supplier of modules by volume in 2014 – shifted a total of 1.03GW, including 134MW to its own downstream projects. It had expected a maximum of 870MW and shipped 558MW in the equivalent three months a year ago.
The Chinese group posted a first quarter net profit of $558.1m, a 25.5% uplift on the same period in 2014.
