The Chinese company reports its p-type mono-crystalline silicon (Si) solar cell, on an industrial Czochralski (Cz) wafer with back-surface passivation, reached an efficiency of 21.40%.
The same cell technologies on a multi-crystalline Si wafer created a new champion p-type cell with an efficiency of 20.53%.
The results of the so-called iPERC cells were checked by Germany's Fraunhofer ISE CalLab and China's National Center of Supervision and Inspection on Solar Photovoltaic Product Quality, respectively.
