Modules for the €50m ($65m) array were provided by Trina, inverters by SMA Solar, substructures by Brandenburg-based Mounting Systems, and combiner boxes by Skytron, according to Enerparc chief operating officer Stefan Müller.
A six-week construction period for a project incorporating 140,000 modules and covering 51 hectares – the size of 140 football pitches – would have been unthinkable a few years ago, and underscores both Enerparc's construction muscles and the maturity of the wider German PV supply-chain.
