GPSC, a unit of Bangkok-based oil and gas producer PTT, expects to finish the project in Ichinoseki, in northern Japan’s Iwate prefecture, by late 2017.
The company is trying to secure loans to cover 80% of the development costs, Reuters reports, adding that Conergy will also participate in the project, without disclosing additional details.
GPSC will develop the project at a feed-in tariff rate of ¥40 ($0.36)/kWh
