Much of that capacity is concentrated on the southern half of the island, the Bureau of Energy — an entity under the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MoEA) — said in an online statement.
Solar projects near the southern cities of Chiayi, Tainan, Pingtung and Kaohsiung account for more than half of the island’s cumulative installed capacity, at roughly 387MW.
Development has been most heavily concentrated in Pingtung county, which is home to 121.6MW
