The Stockholm government said it will back PV with SKr390m ($47.3m) per year from 2017 – an eightfold increase on the current level.
Unveiling its climate action budget to 2019, the government said a “great interest” in solar development had led to a backlog in applications for support, which was insufficient at current levels.
Sweden had an installed solar capacity of 79.4MW
