The project will span three towns in Hubei province, and will be built in cooperation with the municipal authorities in the city of Tianmen, Shanghai-based SSE said in an online statement.
Upon completion, it will be the biggest PV installation in the Jianghan plain, a fertile agricultural region west of Wuhan, the capital of Hubei province.
SSE, which has offices in India and Australia, has already provided EPC services for a number of utility-scale PV installations in China.
