With most of China’s major solar groups preparing to comment on the development tomorrow, New York-listed Suntech was quickly out of the traps with a warning that any punitive tariffs on Chinese equipment arising from the complaint would “destroy thousands of jobs in the European solar industry”.
SolarWorld and other unidentified manufacturers lodged the complaint with the European Commission (EC), which has 45 days to decide whether to initiate a formal case.
