The court has filed criminal charges against the Suntech-controlled Global Solar Fund (GSF), accusing it of illegally building five PV plants to exploit state subsidies.
GSF is already at the centre of a separate inquiry by Suntech itself – which owns 80% of the fund – after it announced suspicions that it may be victim of a fraud involving a minority partner in the venture and $687m of possibly fake German government bonds.
