In the solar firm's preliminary results for the first three months of 2010, Suntech said it expects total net revenue to be in the range of $580m to $590m.
Gross margin is anticipated to be in the range of 19% to 20%, compared to previous estimates of 18% to 20%.
The foreign exchange loss should be partially offset by a net gain of approximately $2m to $3m from hedging activities, says the company.
Suntech will announce its official first quarter results on June 3.
