SunPower will supply the panels by the end of the year, which Casino will use to install solar systems ranging from 0.9MW to 5MW on the rooftops and parking structures of its supermarkets. Some of the systems will qualify for France’s feed-in tariff for building-integrated PV projects.
The deal is SunPower’s first with Casino, which operates more than 10,000 stores globally, making it one of the biggest retailers in France and in the world.
