Patrick Pouyanne – who recently signalled his ambition to make Total a top-three global solar player by 2030 – said the French oil and gas group is considering a link with Qatar Petroleum and Qatar Electricity and Water Company, which are planning their own JV to develop PV projects in the gas-rich Middle East nation.
Pouyanne told the Gulf Times: “We intend to study the possibility of setting up a joint venture between SunPower and this new company.
