The company said it had issued 120 million additional shares that it “expected to reinforce its financial strength, reduce financial risk, and optimise the company’s financial structure”.

Sungrow said the $400m will enable it to increase investment in research and development and deepen its focus on innovation in the areas of PV inverters and energy storage.
