SunEdison this year acquired the US division of Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV) that was developing the 30MW Webberville solar project 15 miles (24km) outsidethe Texas capital of Austin, plus a 10MW PV project in West Texas.
SunEdison director of utility projects John Lichtenberger told a conference here that the Webberville project will be operational in December. It will use a ground-mounted single-axis tracking system to boost power production and comprise 127,000 solar panels from China’s Trina Solar.
