SunEdison will acquire the 523MW of residential rooftop PV assets Vivint Solar expects to own by the end of 2015, and it will drop down those assets – as well as any future ones – into its yieldco, TerraForm Power.
The combined company will compete ferociously with US rooftop solar leader SolarCity, as well as Sunrun, which is readying an IPO.
