SunEdison blasted into the fast-growing Utah renewables market through its acquisition last year of the developer First Wind, which had a number of major projects on the boil in the western state.
SunEdison says it will sell the output over 20 years from three projects – the 100MW Granite Mountain Solar East, 63MW Granite Mountain Solar West, and 99MW Iron Springs – to Warren Buffett’s PacifiCorp at the utility’s avoided cost of electricity.
