The non-recourse debt financing comes from Chile’s CorpBanca and Norway’s DNB.

The project, slated for completion in early 2016, has previously been committed to TerraForm Power, SunEdison’s yieldco.

“This solar project more than doubles our footprint in the fast-growing Chilean solar market and provides significant value to our shareholders,” says Carlos Domenech, chief executive of TerraForm Power.

The power will be sold through long-term PPAs with local electricity suppliers, as part of the 570GWh contract SunEdison was awarded late last year by the Chilean National Energy Commission.
