This month its new unit, SPI Solar Japan GK, will start building a 1.98MW project north of Tokyo in Bando, Ibaraki prefecture. It will also provide financing and handle EPC duties for the installation, which is due for completion in the first quarter of 2015.
It also said it plans to start developing 16MW and 1.8MW projects at two other undisclosed location in the fourth quarter of this year.
