SolarCity, the largest US installer of rooftop PV systems, on Wednesday said it had filed papers with US regulators to issue an initial $200m of bonds, and had launched a website for selling the bonds directly to the public.
Any eligible adult American (outside the one-off exception of Florida) can buy the senior unsecured solar bonds, with a minimum investment of $1,000.
