SolarCity will reportedly pay $10m for the company, with another $5m to come as certain development benchmarks are met. The deal is expected to close this month.
Ilioss, which claims to be Latin America’s largest C&I solar developer, will operate as an independent business unit within SolarCity.
Ilioss chairman and co-founder David Arelle will act as president of the SolarCity-owned company, while chief operating officer and co-founder Manuel Vegara will act as general manager.
