In the final quarter of 2014, SolarCity installed 176MW of new PV capacity, falling short of the 192MW it had been on pace to deploy. The company blamed the shortfall on the “lumpiness” of project completions in its commercial-rooftop business, pointing to weather issues, delays and outright cancellations.
It is the second quarter in a row in which SolarCity delivered zero or negative year-on-year growth in its commercial business.
