Financial services provider Orix has revealed plans to develop 25MW of PV capacity at four locations in western Japan’s Yamaguchi prefecture. It will build 11.8MW in Sanyo-Onoda, 4.1MW in Mine, 4.9MW in Ube and 4.3MW in the city of Yamaguchi, according to an online statement. It did not disclose the solar-panel supplier for the projects. Tokyo-based Orix — which recently jumped into wind energy by picking up a one-third stake in a 100MW near-shore project that SoftBank is developing near Tokyo — announced in May that it had started building 52.5MW
