Public Service Electric and Gas reached the mid-way point of construction on a 12.93MW (dc) community solar farm on a closed landfill in Burlington County, New Jersey. The L&D Solar Farm is the largest that PSE&G has built to date. It will generate power for about 2,000 homes when it begins commercial operation later this year. The facility is part of the utility’s 125MW (dc) Solar 4 All program that utilizes rooftops, parking lots, utility poles and landfills/ brownfields for larger-scale, grid connected solar projects.
