Japanese renewables developer Eurus Energy has started building a 10.5MW solar project on Awaji Island, near Osaka. The company has already started installing Kyocera PV modules on a 23-hectare plot of land on the island and expects to connect it to the grid by July 2017, according to an online statement.

Ping An Bank based in Shenzhen, China, will provide up to $300m credit facility to Canadian Solar that will support subsidiary Recurrent Energy’s project development, construction and operation activities in the US.
