Japanese renewables developer Eurus Energy has started building a 27.6MW solar plant in Hawaii. Canadian Solar is supplying the PV modules, according to an online statement. Tokyo-based Eurus Energy plans to finish the project in Waianae, on the island of Oahu, by December 2017. The array will be its second-biggest utility-scale solar project in the US. It will will sell the electricity to the Hawaiian Electric Co.
