The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and Vote Solar lobby say the stalled or cancelled projects are costing cities and towns $3.2m in annual tax revenue, and developers are likely to defer others. Those projects would have provided electricity for about 50,000 homes and businesses.
"Solar has become an integral part of the Massachusetts economy and job market," says Sean Gallagher, vice president of state affairs for SEIA, a national trade group.
