“Sharp is considering various options, including the sale of Recurrent Energy, but no fixed decision is made at this point,” Sharp spokesperson Miyuki Nakayama told Recharge.
Four to five undisclosed foreign investors, as well as Solar Frontier, are interested in purchasing San Francisco-based Recurrent, the Nikkei newspaper said earlier this week, without citing sources.
“The story is based on their assumption,” Nakayama replied when asked if the newspaper was correct in saying that Solar Frontier was among the companies that may be interested in acquiring Recurrent.
