The nine parks, each rated at 1 megawatt (MW), will be built in Apulia, a region in southeastern Italy that is increasingly attracting developers’ attention as a prime area for solar projects.
Since building its first solar array in Germany in 2006, a+f has installed more than 50MW worth of solar capacity in the EU and South Korea. The firm, which builds projects with sun-tracking equipment, is owned by German industrial group Gildemeister.
