Germany-based polysilicon group Wacker Chemie nudged up its full-year sales forecasts after a strong first quarter of 2015 for all its business areas. Wacker said it now expects group sales to be about €4.83bn ($5.4bn), as its polysilicon unit registered Q1 sales 11% higher year-on-year at €289m. The division benefited from “strong volume growth and somewhat better solar-silicon prices”, said Wacker.
