Chinese PV manufacturer Suntech has agreed to supply 63MW of solar modules to eight projects that Gunkul Engineering is building throughout Thailand. Bangkok-based Gunkul expects to connect the plants to the grid by the end of this year. Suntech said in an online statement that it has already delivered more than 260MW of PV modules to projects throughout Thailand.
UK-based engineering research company MIRA signed a partnership with Brazilian technology foundation FPTI for the development of lithium batteries, to be used in electric vehicles and power storage in solar and wind projects.
