Canadian Solar has supplied 42.9MW of PV modules for an array in southwestern Japan. JGC provided EPC services for the project in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka prefecture. It is scheduled for completion by August.
Yingli Green Energy and Xi'an LONGi Silicon Materials have agreed to jointly produce monocrystalline silicon wafers, ingots, solar cells and PV modules. The partnership — outlined in a recently signed framework agreement — will help LONGi gain expertise in PV module assembly, while giving Yingli the opportunity to use LONGi’s technologies in its manufacturing processes, according to an online statement.
