South Korea’s LG group supplied the panels for the project in the town of Koshimizu, on the northeastern coast of Hokkaido, a Sojitz spokesperson tells Recharge.
Construction started in October 2013 and wrapped up on 30 September of this year, roughly a month ahead of schedule.
The Tokyo-based company expects the installation to generate enough electricity to cater to the needs of 2,800 households per year.
