The board of Soitec has approved a plan to “re-focus” on the company’s “core electronics business”.
Soitec has implemented a “first batch” of cost-cutting measures, including reducing its headcount in the US by 100, likely at its CPV manufacturing facility in San Diego, which currently employs around 250 people.
In the meantime the company will combine "significant restructuring measures" as it looks for ways to “extract value” from its solar-related assets.
