The German company now expects sales of between €775-€790m ($982m) in the current fiscal year compared to sales of €850m-€950m seen previously.
SMA estimates that its loss will add up to €115m in 2014 excluding provisions for a planned staff reduction. That compares to a loss of €45m expected before.
“Our previous forecast was based on the assumption of a strong sales upturn toward the end of the year.
