SkyPower says it completed the request for qualification stage under the large renewable procurement (LRP) process through the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), which operates the Ontario electric grid.
Together with Sachigo Lake First Nation, it submitted proposals for development of solar farms to IESO.
The partners see the projects, which they did not detail, as creating jobs and strengthening the local economy, while providing long-term energy price stability.
