The agreement with the Kenyan Ministry of Energy and Petroleum will cover the development of “world-class” projects over the next five years, said Toronto-based SkyPower.
The deal, to be formally signed this weekend, is the latest in a string of huge international plans unveiled by SkyPower, which claims to have 25GW of solar capacity under development around the world.
It has already announced joint ventures seeking to build 3GW apiece in Egypt and Nigeria.
