With an average bid of 5.17 rupees/kWh ($0.08), the company was the lowest bidder in Telangana State Southern Power Distribution’s (TSSPDCL) competitive tender process for 2GW of capacity — the biggest such allocation in India to date.
State-owned utility TSSPDCL offered the projects through a competitive reverse bidding process, with a ceiling tariff of roughly $0.104/kWh.
PPAs for the awarded projects will extend for 25 years from the start of commercial operation.
