This year, Sanyo will intensify its energy solutions business in Europe through its Smart Energy System (SES) which could reduce running costs and carbon dioxide emissions for facilities such as factories, schools and stores.
Sanyo has so far built its solar cell business mainly through residential housings in the European market.
The firm will start to offer PV modules, lithium-ion battery systems, energy management systems that include controllers and a comprehensive maintenance service.
