Samsung Renewable, a unit of the South Korean conglomerate, says it has tied off a C$190m ($139m) debt financing package for the Southgate project, located in western Ontario.
Separately, Canadian Solar confirmed it signed a contract to supply the project with its MaxPower CS6X modules, made in its factory in London, Ontario.
Germany’s SMA Solar will supply inverters out of its own Ontario factory.
