Gurgaon-based ReNew, which won nearly half the solar capacity auctioned off in a recent tender in the Indian state of Jharkhand, expects the OPIC facility to give it a competitive advantage in bidding for more projects in the future.

ReNew Power, which is backed by Goldman Sachs, currently owns more than 2.4GW of renewable energy assets throughout India, primarily in the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Haryana, Telangana and Jharkhand.
