Singapore’s Housing Development Board (HDB) awarded the contract on Monday to REC after an open bidding was concluded. A total of 13 offers were received.
The installation of 1MWp solar PV at six HDB precincts is by far the single largest solar panel procurement in Singapore to date, according to HDB.
The electricity generated from the solar panels will be used to power lightings in common areas such as corridors and lifts.
