Following a NKr4.34bn ($640m) deal at the beginning of the year with the Bluestar Elkem Group, a subsidiary of China National Chemical, ASA sold off REC Group and all the assets related to the Norway-based PV player.
“REC Solar ASA has sold all assets (production facility, brand, patents, subsidiaries) of REC to Bluestar Elkem. It is now a separate Norwegian entity and no longer the parent company of REC,” says ASA, which has only three employees left.
